Letter from the Chapter
Sigma Kappa at North Carolina State University fosters a very unique and powerful sisterhood. Our women are involved, active, and passionate. Each member of our chapter exemplifies the different values of our sorority: loyalty, service, personal growth, and sisterhood. Our women consistently support one another to ensure that we as a chapter are embodying these core values. We come together throughout each semester to partake in different philanthropy, sisterhood, and growth based activities.
One of our sisters, Ashlyn Lorentz, Vice President of Membership states, “I joined Sigma Kappa because before and during recruitment my freshman year, I was a total stress case. The whole process was very overwhelming but at Sigma Kappa, I felt at home. Everyone at Sigma Kappa was so welcoming and I never wanted to leave their house because I always felt so comforted. Ever since I joined Sigma Kappa, I have found my best friends and always have people to help me through hard times or to laugh with on any other day.”
Sigma Kappa has been providing a lifelong experience to young women for over 138 years. Sisterhood, friendship, and personal development are the foundations of Sigma Kappa membership.
Sigma Kappa is not just four years, it's a lifetime.
The next formal recruitment period begins in the August, 2021. Please visit the NC State Panhellenic website for additional information on registration and Formal Recruitment, as well as Greek Community membership at NC State.
We are so excited to meet you!
